Privacy

How we handle your data on captor.us. Short version: no tracking, no cookies, and we only use your details to reply to you.

Who is responsible

Captor OÜ, Narva mnt 5, 10117 Tallinn, Estonia (registry code 14981585). Contact: hello@captor.us.

What this site collects

Cookies and tracking. None. This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, which is why there is no cookie banner. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.

Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this site on Cloudflare Pages), processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your request in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. This is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, we receive and store your name, email address, optional company, topic and message in a database at Cloudflare. For spam protection we also keep a short, one-way hashed fingerprint of your IP address (it changes daily and cannot be turned back into your IP). If you email us directly, we receive what you send. We use them only to answer your request and to talk about a possible project (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We do not pass them on for marketing.

If a request does not lead to a project, we delete the correspondence after 12 months. If it does, we keep it as long as the work continues and for the period the law requires us to keep business and accounting records (in Estonia, generally seven years).

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and a copy of it. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@captor.us.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. For us this is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee), or the authority in your own country.

Changes

If we add tools such as analytics, we will update this page first.
